Nerve - The Distance Between Zero and One

While patiently awaiting DJ Shadow to start up his set a funky electronic tune played across the Commodore Ballroom and caught the attention of not only my group of friends but those all around. It was almost as if the Matrix was trying to explain itself via a musical tune. However sadly this band blew everything that the Matrix was and showed it what it could have been. Another thing that had caught our attention was a older grey haired Asian  male rocking out on the keyboard. Laying down tracks that our generation could only hope of one day achieving. Next came the drummer who looked like he was glazed out of his mind whaling away on the drums, but something about his style of playing. The pauses after an intense drum solo only help you stick on the track and listen it out. And the third band member just kinda rocked out between the two of the them (Not much attention was paid to him). They were by far one of the best opening acts that I have had the pleasure of hearing and jamming with. I've had a lot of trouble finding there music and realized how lucky I was to buy there album at the show. It sounds just as good as the live show. A band I plan to keep to myself and close friends when I want to brag and show off something that they don't know about!!!
